  5.      Inventory is a usefull program for
  6. the small business man who needs to
  7. keep track of stock coming and going.
  8. The max. number of records that can be
  9. used with this program are '1000'. The
  10. program is set to run on a Commodore 64
  11. and a 1541 disk drive. The records are
  12. stored in relative files and part
  13. numbers are stored sequentialy so the
  14. program is is only as fast data is
  15. transfered from the drive.
  16.  
  17.      Max. field lengths are set as
  18. follows...
  19.  
  20. 1. Manufacture: 14 characters
  21. 2. Part number: 15 characters
  22. 3. Description: 15 characters
  23. 4. Quanity    :  7 characters
  24. 5. Re-order   :  7 characters
  25. 6. Retail pr. :  7 characters
  26. 7. Whlse. pr. :  7 characters
  27. 8. Measurement:  5 characters

  29.      You will have to run the 'SET UP'
  30. program first before you can use the
  31. inventory pgm.....

  33.      Some of the INVENTORY features are
  34. ---------------------------------------
  35. 1.  ADD TO INVENTORY
  36.  
  37.      You may add a max. of '999' parts
  38. in one session. The program will not
  39. let you duplicate parts already on file
  40. or parts you have just entered. When
  41. asked for 'MANUFACTURE', you may just
  42. press 'RETURN' with no entry and the
  43. default name you gave in the 'SET UP'
  44. file is automatically entered.....
  45.  
  46.      The program will not let you enter
  47. anything but numbers '0-9' as QUANITIES
  48. and RE-ORDER LEVELS. If at anytime you
  49. press 'RETURN' with no entry, the pgm.
  50. enters a value for you.....The defaults
  51. are as follows.....

  53. 1. Description: NONE
  54. 2. Quanity    : 0
  55. 3. Re-order   : 0
  56. 4. Retail     : $0.00
  57. 5. Wholesale  : $0.00
  58. 6. Measurement: pcs

  61. 2.   SUBTRACT FROM STOCK
  62.  
  63.      You cannot subtract less than what
  64. you have in the quanity. If the quanity
  65. has fallen to '0', the program will let
  66. you know and you will have to add to
  67. stock then......

  70. 3.   ADD TO STOCK
  71.  
  72.      There is no max. limit on adding
  73. to stock except the '7 character' 
  74. limit.....

  77. 4.   EDIT A RECORD

  79.      The editing function allows you to
  80. edit all catagories except the QUANITY.
  81. Also, you will not be able to duplicate
  82. part numbers is this section neither.

  85. 5.   FIND PART BY STRING SEARCH
  86.  
  87.      If you forget the full name of a
  88. part number, then you may select this
  89. option to search through the part
  90. numbers to try and find you part. Enter
  91. the first one,two,three, etc. 
  92. characters of the part number you wish
  93. to search for. The program then looks
  94. for matches with the information you
  95. gave. When it finds a match, that
  96. FULL part number will be displayed and
  97. if it is the part you want, just press
  98. 'N' and that parts file will be 
  99. displayed. If you want more, just press
  100. 'Y' until you find the part number you
  101. needed......

  104. 6.   HOUSEKEEPING

  106.      Here you may VALIDATE your data
  107. disk which should be done once a day
  108. depending upon how much you use the
  109. INVENTORY PGM. You have the option of
  110. changing SCREEN,BACKGROUND, and
  111. CHARACTER colors here also....

  114. 7.   SCAN RE-ORDER RECORDS
  115.  
  116.      Select this option when you want
  117. to scan through ALL your parts and
  118. get a printout. The printout will tell
  119. you if you if your QUANITYf has fallen
  120. to or below the RE-ORDER point.....

  123. 8.   PRINT RECORDS
  124.  
  125.      You have the option of selecting
  126. 1-10 items or the entire file here. The
  127. file is printed across the paper
  128. columns and all catagories are printed
  129. out except the DESCRIPTION.....

  132. 9.   VIEW PART NUMBERS
  133.  
  134.      The part numbers currently on file
  135. are displayed on the screen and may   
  136. also be sent to your printer if you
  137. select to do so......

  140.      Soon to be released will be an
  141. 'ORDER ENTRY' module to use with the
  142. 'INVENTORY' program. If you would like
  143. the source code for this program, send
  144. $20.00 (money order ONLY) and blank
